Welcome to the PMD Lab at Keimyung University
Welcome to the forefront of groundbreaking scientific exploration. At the PDM Discovery Lab, we are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of biomedical research by focusing on one of the most promising frontiers in drug development including Proteolysis Targeting Chimeras (PROTACs)
Our mission is clear: to revolutionize the way we approach disease treatment by harnessing the novel protein modulating modalites including PROTACs. With a team of experienced scientists, cutting-edge technologies, and a passion for innovation, we're committed to bringing about a new era of therapeutic possibilities.
Our Expertise
Drug Design: We employ state-of-the-art computational and protein structure based design for novel drug candidates including PROTACs and covalent inhibitors with exceptional precision, optimizing their affinity for target proteins.
Cutting-Edge Synthesis: Our lab is equipped with advanced synthesis facilities, enabling us to craft custom-designed drug candidates including PROTACs and covalent inhibitors with high purity and yield.
Rigorous Validation: Through rigorous testing and validation protocols, we ensure that 1) our PROTACs demonstrate potent and selective target protein degradation and 2) our drug candidates evaluate their efficacy in many assay systems
Research Focus Areas
Oncology: Developing drug candidates using the novel modalities including PROTACs and covalent inhibitors for oncogenic proteins, with the aim of revolutionizing cancer therapy.
Neurodegenerative Diseases: Investigating the potential of PROTACs in the treatment of neurodegenerative disorders by targeting misfolded or aberrant proteins.
Potential Research Areas: Using the novel modalities, many other disease proteins can be targeted such as virus and bacteria proteins
Collaborate with Us
We believe that collaboration is the key to accelerating scientific progress. We welcome partnerships with academia, industry, and fellow research institutions to collectively drive the field of drug discovery forward using the new drug modlites including PROTAC and covalent inhibitor.
